I called a call today saying they were from the irs, stating that I owe taxes and they new by name and ask for my telephone number. I thought the irs usually ask for your social security number. They stated that I would be arrest and would have to stay in jail for 6 months then my wages would be garished.
The so call IRS called today and informed me that they where going to take me to jail the following morning if I did not pay $4500 that day.
I called the IRS and they told me that I did not owe anything and they do not call you, they send out letters and if that does not get your attention, they garnish your pay.
So if you get a call from them, don't panic it is a scam and probably coming from india.
I GOT A CALL FROM IRS ROBERT WILLIAMS. I SAID WHERE? HE SAID IRS I SAID IRS DOES NOT CALL YOU BY PHONE .YES MAM WE DOHE SAID .THEN HE SAID YOUR HUSBAND BETTER CALL OR THEN I SLAMED THE PHONE DOWN.BUT WHEN I SAID WE TALKED TO IRS HE TOLD ME I WAS LYING THEN THAT P----- ME OFF THEN I SLAMED THE PHONE DOWN. THEIR NUMBER WAS 415-413-3834
