I have BLOCKED this number from calling my phone for the past week and longer. All of a sudden I'm here at my sisters spending a weekend and BOOM, they leave a msg on her home machine. SCARY part is, how do they knw my sister number cause even I don't knw it and how do they knw I'm here?!?!
This is a scam. Debt collectors (and these people are not real debt collectors) cannot threaten or intimidate to collect a debt. The best defense is not to engage them in conversation and ignore their calls. With all the hacking of corporate and retail databases, our personal information is no longer safe and guaranteed, your personal information is getting sold over and over again to these criminals.
They just had the nerve to call my office. I am reporting them to the California Attorney General's Office for fraud a felony impersonating a state agency. This has got to stop.
Just got a call, same info as others posted. Hope that they are aware that the statue of limitations on debt in California is 4 years, they have no validation of debt and nothing has ever been sent to me. If you're trying to get money from me, give me proof that I owe it, otherwise you'll be talking to my voicemail.
Yep, Total Scam, They are trying to steal your money and information. Do not give them anything. Tell them if they are legit they already have your information and send it in the mail. Tell everyone you know to not fall for these scum.
