I have BLOCKED this number from calling my phone for the past week and longer. All of a sudden I'm here at my sisters spending a weekend and BOOM, they leave a msg on her home machine. SCARY part is, how do they knw my sister number cause even I don't knw it and how do they knw I'm here?!?!
I received a message from Chloe Dawson calling from the division of pretrial processing for the state of California and that her client "True Bluff Financial" is filing a lawsuit against me for fraud and she gave me a reference #. Of course I called her back and there was all types of red flags. She first wanted to verify my information to make sure i was the correct person..and i was like that it's too late cause of the threatening voice message you left me-I can assumed you thought you called the right person then.. she told me this is to collect a debt for a payday loan i took in 2009 with true bluff financial. i never heard of this company before so i asked her to mail or email me the documentation. she said that since this was done online, there is nothing to send and for me to give her my checking account number or credit card to pay the $590.00 owed. RIGHT..!! she kept telling me the same thing and i kept telling her show me the proof and then she said when i'm ready to listen to call her back and hung up. i called back and got a 'supervisor' and she gave me my previous address, the name of my job, and my social sec, and an old banking account number and she almost had me until she "read" the names of the references i had on file!! My mother, my ex husband, and someone i didnt know. First of all-I wouldn't NEVER put the first two as a reference for nothing!! i rather do without!! But it dawned on me that if you go to Spokeo.com you can purchase this information. Dont fall victim to these people!! Report them!!
I called that number out of curiosity. They ID themselves as Global Solutions, supposedly an arbitration firm located in Miami. Arbitration is just another scammer double-talk word for debt collector. Most likely some sort of scam. There are a lot of companies with the terms Global in them. Looks like a total scam to me. Ignore and block the calls.
I confronted the lady on the phone and asked her if this had anything to do with any government agency in California and she just stammered and hemmed and hawed.
They also call from 415-855-0857. Same type of message. Say there's a case against you in California, but ID themselves as Global Solutions in Miami.
Why the devil would a Miami based firm be calling about lawsuit in California in any case? No legitimate attorney will cold call you about a pending law case.
