I think this is what happened! I think Rogers sold their cell numbers as I am surrounded by 3 roger cell phones and all have been harassed with 1 call per day. The telus and Bell haven't been called... yet.
I have received 2 of these calls, saying the warranty on my vehicle has expired There was an option to connect (1) or be deleted from the follow up (2) I chose (2)
This number called me twice, too. I never answered and they never left a message. I use Fido, but from what I've read here the service provider doesn't seem to matter. I've never owned a vehicle.
I'm a full time student...the closest thing to an asset I've ever owned is my [***]. And even that probably belongs to the government for tuition loans (hehehe). So if it's anyone asking for 'renewal' / payment for something you own, it's CLEARLY a crock.
I prefer to decline strange numbers like these -- really, whose number starts with "000," anyway?? Likely not a human.
I just got a new blackberry last week and this number along with other unknown numbers have been calling me non-stop. I am with Telus and have had the same number for years but have never recieved these calls before- only after the blackberry.
Very strange and rather annoying- especially if telus is releasing information.
