I know these calls aren't legal, and I "opt out" every time - either by keypad or talking to someone - but how can they be stopped? This time, the call ended as I answered. /grrrr
I'm receiving 2-3 calls a day from this and other numbers giving the same automated message to lower my credit card rates. When asked to be removed from their call list, I was told "listen here b*tch" to which I cut him off and replied in the same manner.
I received a call from this # on my Cell Phone on 12-11 @ 11:35A Central time. I got the recording - "this is your last notice to lower your credit card debt". I decided to "play" with the persons mind, so I pressed 9 & a guy with a very heavy acent came on the line & said, "did you press 1 to lower your credit card debt?" (I didn't say anything about the difference of what # I pressed). I began with, "I'm soo glad you called & on my CELL PHONE." I have 10 credti cards & over $100,000 dollars in credit card debt, what can you do for me?" He asked which card had the highest interest rate & I replied ' "I don't know, I don't keep track of that". He replied, "I'll hold on while you go & look". I replied, "I'm not going to go & look because I'm sure this is a scam & I'm going to hang up now." I hung up before he could reply.
