I know these calls aren't legal, and I "opt out" every time - either by keypad or talking to someone - but how can they be stopped? This time, the call ended as I answered. /grrrr
If you don't recognize the number and they don't leave a message....DON"T CALL BACK and definitely don't push any option buttons. I saw on our local news that, in some scams, if you push an option button it can actually authorize them to charge your phone an outrageous amount of money that they get a portion of. If it is someone legit that wants to get ahold of you, they will leave a message.
I haven't shopped at Target, and got a call from this number on my pre-paid cell phone. Only a few people have my number, and only for something urgent since I pay 20 cents a minute. I am on federal and state no calls lists, I have no credit card debt, where do they get these numbers?
