I know these calls aren't legal, and I "opt out" every time - either by keypad or talking to someone - but how can they be stopped? This time, the call ended as I answered. /grrrr
Let me guess... like myself, you all shopped at Target during the dates when credit card information was hacked? Thanks to Target, now these losers have our personal information. I cancelled my card immediately when I heard about the breach in security and had a new card number reissued. But, that doesn't change the fact that these idiots still have all of my other personal information, such as mailing address and phone number which were associated to that old card. Target should have to pay out a settlement to EVERYONE who was affected by their breach. What a mess!!
At first it's a recording - stating they have important information about your credit card - that there is not an issue, but to contact them right away - press 9 to be connected. This is not the first time I received the call and I pushed 9 in an effort to speak with someone and request to be removed. Let me note, I am on the DNC List for both my home and private cell numbers. I apologize for the copy to come next... I inquired as to who the gentlemen was calling with and he would not provide me with an answer, instead he beat around the bush with what he could do for me. I stated and ask that he clarify that he was not with my current credit company and that he was in fact a 3rd-party. I could tell he was trying to avoid actually answering, he then stated he was not a '3rd party". I then asked him how he obtained my phone number - he claimed through the Credit Bureau - and named all three. I then stated that he remove me from their call list - to which he responded "F*ck you, b*tch." I was speechless, in slight shock at first and I thought he had hung up due to the silence - he then repeated... "**** you." I harshly told him I was reporting him and he hung up.
Got a missed call from this number. I went on here to see what is was. I called back to try and tell someone I would hunt them down and kill them. When I called it just said the person you have dialed is unavailable. I then texted the number "I'm going to kill you you f#&king f*%K!" I got no response.
