Receive many phone calls from 1-417-800-2511 asking for Japanese male 18 or above to participate in a studies. My number is unlisted and registered with the 'do-not-call' list. The rep on the phone was unable to clarify how they get my number.

YES. They tried to sell their legal SERVICES. Cold calling by human or robot is STILL telemarketing. This is not a survey, it is a robo-call. They advise you can press 1 to speak to a representative. ( I think I found the flaw in your logic) The representative tries to SELL you a SERVICE.....
It is about doing a survey and says I would get 1185 dollars if I had arthritus and would do this. Does not say what or who they are I called the number back from my home phone
