This number is based out of Ohio, I also a couple of weeks ago got a call from POLICE PROTECTION the man knew my name and wanted to know if I was going to donate again, I had donated to Maryland State Police before, I told him I would not agree to anything until I saw the paperwork, I know this is a scam and now he is calling from a another phone number. I did receive the paperwork, but I still believe that it is a scam and now they are calling from a another number, the comment above says someone is calling for the state of MD police, why are they calling from a PRIVATE number in Ohio for MD? I am on the do not call list and anyone calling from the state of MD police department would not need to block their name.
It's funny that the area code 419 is from Toledo, Ohio. I asked them why would they call me, my area code is 301 which is Maryland, from an Ohio area code and say they were accepting donations from the Maryland State Troopers Assoc. and they hung up. Also 2day I received another phone call from 1-301-762-6650 and my caller ID said Police Protection, so I figure its a big ring asking for money. These people don't quit. So I checked on this new number and found a lot of complaints on line. So people be careful.
This number calls daily. When I pick up, they hang up. I call back and get no answer. However, the name says Appel Personnel. I call back and no answer after about one hundred rings.

I am no too sure this isn't just a dummy number given to any organization wanting money. The more I search the number, the more varying reasons I find.
We have been getting these calls for 3 weeks. Usually 2-3 calls a day, and never leaves a message. Today I answered and he asked for my wife and said it was a thank you call, but the thing is she never donated anything. I asked him what the "thank you" was for and he hung up the phone.
