I get these calls occasionally. My answering machine shows "Anonymous call" and the phone number 419-474-9385. My other setup displays "Private name" and the number. Yesterday I got a call around 8:00 pm. I saw it was the usual and was going to ignore it. Then I picked up and said "Did you know that my caller ID displays your phone number as plain as can be?" and the person hung up right away. Gutless wonder. To P. Clark and K. Pearl - my phone company offers a blocking service. Have you checked?
I have registered my phone numbers on the "Do Not Call List" however I am still receiving unsolicited phone calls. The subject of this message is a call I received from 419-474-9385 (Ameritech). After answering the call and telling them to not call back they continue to call ignoring my request. They also come up on my phone as "unknown name". I did a look-up of the phone number to get the name of owner.
Been calling my house for the past four days....they call about two/three times a day. It's so annoying. I've never answered the phone because it says "Private Name" and well...I don't answer those calls.
