Found this call in my voicemail claiming same as others. Googled the phone number I didn't recognize as they did not leave one, and found this page. Thanks!
I just got the same message a standing complaint has been made against my name and social security # call back before before any further action is taken!!!
I received the same message twice from these jerks: "a complaint has been filed against your SSI number, please call us to prevent any further action"
I'm on SSI and have no outstanding deat, so they're full of [***]!
The experience I have had with the payday advance calls has been nothing short of a desperate attempt to collect on past balances owed with threats and fraud like scams. They lie and will say anything. They exaggerate any balance - for example I think I went back and saw that I had a very small balance left in error as I had moved outside the country and seemed to owe like $80 bucks or something. By the time it reached me (over 11 years later) it was trumped up into $2k+ with interest. All lies. I told them I filed bankruptcy to see if they would respond legit (which is by law a specific way when you say that) and they still tried to collect on it which told me CLICK HANG UP its a scam.
I think that a fraud company has bought a list and are trying to scam people with threats and fraudulent methods playing on people's fear and hoping they fall for it and forget the details. Tell them you filed bankruptcy - and see what they say. If they don't ask for the name of the lawyer -and say good-bye - you'll know it's b.s.
I just got a call from 423-212-6127 and they left a message saying "Hello this is a documented and recorded courtesy call in regards to a formal complaint filed against your name and social security number please contact our office immediately to avoid any further action. We look forward to your call. They did not leave a number. I have blocked the number.
