Rec'd call at 2:25 on 4/6/16. I could tell by the number it was a telemarketer but answered anyway to waste some of their time. Nothing but dead air when I picked up. CID was simply Los Angeles CA.
We have a family member in law enforcement. I asked him about some of these "police charities" and his reply was he'd never heard of any of them. Don't fall for telemarketers, hold on to your money.
Don't be surprised if that opt out option doesn't work too well. When you call back, you are confirming a working number attached to a live person who returns calls to strangers and unknown numbers. That is tele-scam gold. You like scam calls? This is how you get more of 'em.
Like I'd ever trust some thief outfit whose CID is " DCALIFORNIAPAL" with a Wisconsin area code. At least get your numbers straight, Raji, before trying to steal from people.
