Jan 20, 2014, An Indian voice/accent called himself Micheal Kennedy called me demanded that I listen to him and his demand otherwise IRS will sue me...etc. We were panic worry sick of not sure what to do. I was glad to found this link/site to know that this is a SCAM. Why don't the REAL IRS go after this people who scam from ordinary people. If the REAL IRS is watching this chats, please do something about this before more american gets heard. PLEASE...
We also got this call from 425 214 0746. May the perpetrators rot in hell. My wife did not eat or function after she received this phone call, thinking it was something serious. The caller who had a Nigerian accent had the nerve to leave a message saying 'it is off the record' and to call back on the number as it was extremely sensitive. My wife called back and got this time someone with Indian accent wanted me to call back or give the number of lawyer, else the will report to the police. I cant understand why these phone numbers cant be traced or these jerks put behind bars.
I received the call today 01/14/2014 around 10:20 am for my wife from David Caren of IRS, and he asked me to call John Anderson of IRS @ 425-214-0746. I called, Anderson said we owe taxes from 2008 through 2012 based on our phone number. This Anderson tried to scare me with many actions, such as court, sheriff arrest, etc. When I asked for more details, he hung-up!
Immediately I called the company handling our tax return, she said: "IRS always send letter first!"
I googled the phone 425-214-746, so here I am.
At the beginning I was scared a little bit, but immediately I felt fishy, because our phone is under my wife's name, however, tax return was under my name. DO NOT LET THEM SCARE YOU!!
They called this morning and I called them back after a very BAD accent message. Spoke to a IRS named Anderson. He said I owed back taxes which I know was all cleared up. (old/wrong information) He proceeded to give me options to solve my problems. I knew it was bogus so I decided to waste his time like he is wasting mine. He told me that Jail time or House Arrest could be ordered if I did not pay up immediately. I told him that it was ok, because I had no house anymore. He then told me that my drivers license could be suspended or revoked. I said, no problem, I don't have a car anymore also. He then threatened me that the police would pick me up immediately and take me to jail. I said great...I hope they can pick me up before lunch, because I am hungry, and I hear they have 3 meals a day in jail. He hung up on me. Bummer
I got this phone call (voice mail) this morning 1/15/14. Me being an Indian, I right away understood the caller is trying to immitate US accent. I know very well IRS will not call someone on phone out of the blue. They contact by written USPS mail first. I googled the phone number and found this is a scam. I called the phone number, and got someone on phone with an American name. I right away started talking to him in Hindi (an Indian language), and he continued speaking in English with an Indian accent. I continued talking in Hindi, and after about 3 minutes, he gave up, and started talking to me in Hindi. I told him to find a good job even if it pays a little less, but live with his head high up!
Got a message from a 408 number to call IRS....heavy Indian accent. I called this (425) for a John Anderson.....who also had a heavy Indian accent. Told me the sheriff will be contacted and my drivers license will be cancelled. I was told I owed $7599.75 on my taxes from 2008 - 2012. I told them to hang on while I get my lawyer and CPA and this "John" said let's see if they can help me when I'm in jail and hung up. Immediately I got a call from an (800) number from an Indian lady saying she's from the DMV and my license is being cancelled. Called this (425) to screw around with John Anderson and he hung up. Now my calls to this number won't go through. I'd love to meet this lot and give them a good [***] kicking. Imagine if some elderly person got caught up in this? Someone kick their [***]!
