Has called me 3 times leaving no messages. Did recently open B of A accounts online. As a rule, I don't answer unknown phone #'s or return calls when no message is left.
I'm not sure this is a scam - perhaps a feeble attempt at customer service by BofA. They called my cell and I missed the call, so I called back. I listened to a long recording on how BofA was interested in their customer's questions and have made a commitment to world class service. After the recording, a woman came on the phone with broken english (as many BofA employees have) and thanked me for my recent business (just refinanced) and wanted to know if I had any questions. I told her I didn't, waiting for her to start asking personal questions, and she never did...she just said thank you again for your business and have a great day....not one question asked other than did I have any questions.
I received calls from this number for several days in a row. I opened a checking account with BOA just days prior to the start of the calls. If this is an imposter disguised as BOA then I am very nervous about how they get my info that quickly.
it's strange. i've had my checking with bank of america for about a month now and never had this number call. They called me today and I answered, the other end just stayed silent. I stayed on for a second, said hello twice and said i dont hear a response from the other end so i'm hanging up. Strange.
