Has called me 3 times leaving no messages. Did recently open B of A accounts online. As a rule, I don't answer unknown phone #'s or return calls when no message is left.
Identified as B of A, and said they wanted to ask a few ?'s about the loan that I had just opened. When they asked me if I had set up online banking (2nd question) I knew it could not be legitimate, as Bank of America would readily know the answer to that question. I hung up on them immediately.
The first call was unanswered; no voice mail left. I answered the second time and a male caller asked for my spouse. Since it's my phone, I said he had the wrong party and hug up. Of interest, we recently re-financed our home with B of A.
Called on 06/05/2012 at 10:04a (PST). Did not answer. Did not leave VM. After reading several boards it sounds like a scammer pretending to be B of A. I check my account daily and checked again. No reason for them to call me as I have an eBanking account and they just don't call. Never give your info to someone who calls you. Ask to call them the problem and ask to call them back. Then call the number on the back of the card or the website.
