I hope you can find some free help somewhere to help you fight them. If they are returning your mortgage payments, then they have no interest in helping you in any way, only in hurting you. I am so sorry.
Really they are a very horrible company. Last year around March they sent us a letter telling us that our mortgage had been sold to someone else. In the letter they stated who the company was and that this company would be contacting us in the future and to no longer have any contact with Citimortgage. When it came time to pay the next months payment we had nothing from the new company. We called Citimortgage and they wouldn't talk to us because our mortgage had been sold. This went on for 4 months. We just set aside the payments in the back to make to whomever was going to be taking them. In October we get a letter from Citi stating that we are past due and they were going to be starting foreclosure. We called Citimortgage, they once again told us that our mortgage had been sold and wouldn't speak with us. Once we finally got someone to actually talk to us we had most of the money to pay them however because of their late fees, payment fees, past due fees, and every other fee they could slap on there we couldn't pay the full balance which they wanted. They began foreclosure a week or two before Christmas, while my husband was deployed!!! Which is against the soldiers and sailors act. We saved our home thank God and have now been trying to refinance.
I got a hangup call from this number today. I answered to a dial tone on the fourth ring. I have no mortgage like the other responders so Citi Mortgage has no reason to be calling me.
Received a call from this number two days ins row,but they did not leave a message yesterday. Tried to call back but you need the name of the person to connect to a person. Today I answered on the second ring and they hung up.
My husband died recently, he used up all the money prior for over a year, didn't have a life insurance policy, so I have been doing everything I can for over a year with Citi. Now I filed bankruptcy and they can have it. My solution was to low my interest rate, they laughed at me. Said that would never happen, so they couuld have it. Not everyone is irresponsible. Government isn"t helping the American people much either.
