Called my wife's cell several times, last time "Brian" with a heavy Asian accent said he was calling from "Insurance Network" and wanted to know what car I drive. Previous calls claimed they wanted to purchase a car we don't own. Definitely sketchy.
I received 6 calls from this number yesterday. The first 3 were 20 minutes apart and no messages for the 1st 2 and I answered the 3rd call and asked that they not call me and to remove my number from their list due to I was at work and unavailable. Then I received 3 more starting about an hour after I spoke to them. Then they were aprroximately 1 hour apart. Then I received a call again today and I answered it and told them again not to call this number and to remove me from their list. I then set an auto reject up for that number and they have called 3 more times since then. Therefore I had to resort to contacting my cellular provider and have their number blocked.
They have been calling me once and hour today and two calls yesterday afternoon. The number is disconnected when I call it back. I will try to block it as I have no idea who they are.
Same here. Called twice today, second time I thought it was someone I knew and I answered. The guy from "Insurance Network" wanted to confirm my address so he could send me some car insurance quotes. I asked him which insurance companies the quotes were from, and he couldn't/wouldn't answer, no doubt because there were no quotes at all. I also asked him why he simply didn't put the quotes in the mail and send them to me instead of calling. He couldn't give me a straight answer. I told him sorry, but I don't confirm personal information with strangers over the phone and he just said "okay have a nice day". He wasn't rude or anything, but his answers and his purported reason for calling just did not add up. Interesting thing was, he knew what kind of car I drive and who my current insurance company is.
