Got a call and like the post above called ID displayed ELECTO 469607. They did leave a message, it is obviously a bot, but it sounded very genuine. It left the message, "OK, great, so would be OK if we called back, perhaps once a month to do a nonpartisan survey like we did today." So my voice message must have activated a dialogue. Really amazing how they have created these bots to sound so realistic, especially with the pausing, and the way it asked the question if it would be OK, as if there was some hesitancy there.
Got a call from a computer named John. He wanted to do a one question survey and that I needed to answer yes or no. Mr. Computer asked if I voted in the last election. Being one to follow instructions I answered "Maybe". Seemed to throw him off for a few seconds so maybe his handler wasn't expecting my answer. He then went on to ask if he could call back about once a month to ask further non-partisan questions. I said no and, just for giggles, told him to put my number on their internal do not call list. Mr. computer said he would but I suspect I will get more calls. OK, with me as makes my day when I can drag it out and waste their time with nonsense answers.
