I received a call from this number. It was a genuine call from Charter (now Spectrum) from a automated system to confirm an appointment for a service technician to visit my home. It is not a scam.
Received a call today from this number claiming to be Spectrum, however the call back number they give to confirm your appointment is a service trying to enroll you in sexy singles.
This is definitely NOT Charter or Spectrum. It may be an ex-employee or something who knows how to imitate Charter, but I called their number, refused to give my information, and spoke with a representative who called herself "Miracle" with employee number "MNO."
She said she saw that I had a 10 AM appointment for a specific day, but wanted my first and last name to pull up the account. Reread that sentence.
I then googled Charter and called their customer service directly. I certainly did NOT have an appointment scheduled. This phone number (480-263-4005) did not match any of their records, and they could not find "Miracle" either. I mean, it would be a miracle if they could, right?
They may not be scamming you over the phone, but imagine what would happen to you if you actually allow this fake company's "technician" to show up to your house?
