I received a call from this number. It was a genuine call from Charter (now Spectrum) from a automated system to confirm an appointment for a service technician to visit my home. It is not a scam.
I've gotten several calls from this number and they identify themselves as Charter Cable company and want me to press 1 for... and so on. The call at 7:10AM this morning stated that a service technician would be out between 8-10AM. Then at 9:26 they called again to say that the technician was in route. I believe this is some sort of scam but cannot be certain.
This IS Charter Communications. If you received a call from them it's to inform you that yes, they are on their way for the appointment (usually repair) that was made. If they called your phone and you did not initiate a repair order then someone who did, gave them an incorrect contact number and they got you instead. It's not a scam.
It's NOT a scam. They may have had the wrong number, but it is Charter Communications, legitimately calling to confirm a service request. I am a Charter customer and just received my service request confirmation call.
