when you get these calls u need to tell them theyre violating the 2008 FCC laws-wat theyre doing is illegal  and u want to speak  to their boss and with social media u will have 10,000 complaints made against him personally and his company in 24 hours --also u need to go to the government site and add ur number to the do not call list as soon as possible so when u do tell them theyre violating a federlaw u wont be lying

John from the shipping department to ship my free emergency medical alert.  I get this call twice a day from 502-219-3395 and 859-469-4341.  I try to call them back but it won't connect.  Plus, the recording to me hangs up before I can talk to a person.  I'm tired of this as it has gone on for months and needs to stop!  Please help.

If I have time I have fun. I develop software and frequently have time on my hands while the system is running a compile. If "John" happens to call, fairly frequently, I listen and press 1. Then I leave the talker on the speaker until they finish. Then I spin a yarn. Tonight after we discussed the system and its features, I told him I thought it was a great idea. He took down my address, etc. all made up.

Then I told him I lived in a nursing home, had for years. He'd have to call the director of the home to get payment authorization. He asked me for a credit card, then a checking account number, I told him I didn't need any of those as the home took care of all my bills.

I must have kept the poor [***] on the phone for close to 30 minutes, thinking he made a sale. The I thanked him, told him to make arrangements for payment with the director, and said "Gotta go now, bye!"

If everybody, or even a few, did this every chance they get, these guys would probably give up. Anyway, at least you get a laugh. The more of their time we can waste the better it is for everyone.

Well played, sir.  But I bet if you acted a little senile or hard of hearing and purposefully misunderstood a lot of what he was saying, you could have kept him on the line even longer.  Unfortunately you can't waste delivery or installer time with the fake address bit since they won't actually send anyone out without the payment info.  I wonder if we tried using one of those test credit card numbers if that would be enough to "complete" the sale and have them pass it along to the installation team.  If so, you can give them "your" cellphone number with the excuse that you might be running errands and they should call about 30 minutes in advance but use the local police non-emergency number instead.

This number has been calling over and over again for weeks. I let unknown numbers go to voice mail. Needless to say, no message is ever left. Today I just got fed up enough when they called again and picked the phone up. First, a  bot gave me a spiel about this wonderful medical gadget blah blah and so on. Then it told me to press 1 to speak to a rep for my delivery of said free gadget. When the lady came on to tell me more about how lucky I was to get it, I asked who had paid for it and to give me a name. Some member of my family according to her. Please name that person I insisted. She tried to bypass the question but I insisted that the discussion would go no further until she had answered my question. She hung up but not before I told her to never phone my number again. We shall see.

I am retired and need a bit of entertainment so if they phone again I will really string them along for as long as I can. Listening to the noise in the background it seems as if it's some boiler room operation.
