Have received 2 calls recently from this number, one a few moments ago. call, i don't answer since the number is not recognizable to me (it's an Oregon area code and I live in cleveland, ohio), and no message is left. I have no clue who this is, and would like to know!
This is an illegal phishing scam! The callers try to make you fall for a line saying they will lower interest rates on your credit card. They tell you to press 1 if you'd like your rates lowered, they then proceed to try to get all your credit card information without telling you what card or bank they are from. They claim to represent "All Visa and All MasterCards" When I called them on it and told them this is a scam, they immediately hang up. They have a computer calling out many people, and are searching for the few that will fall for the scam and blindly give them all their credit card information. Do not fall for this! Please report the calls to your local police, hopefully they will be tracked and arrested.
I have received 22 calls from this number each month, beginning this past summer 2011...I am on the do not call list, and since they are using all of my minutes, on my cell phone, I have grounds to sue them and make them pay me for Pain and Suffering and for the loss of my cell phone time...I am going to report them to the FTC the next time they even think of dialing my number, computer generated or otherwise! DO THEY JUST NOT GET THE HINT?!!!!!
