This is a spoofing / phishing scam to get your credit card number. They call and purport to be from CardHolder Services....lowering your interest rate on your credit card. They are looking for you to give them your credit card number, then they will in turn rack up thousands in illegal purchases on your card.
The actual number they call from does not exist. It is a "spoofed" number, These scumbag$ really have some nerve calling to your cell phone (most everyone is on a "Do Not Call List" for their cellphone) and having me pay for the call by way of wasted minutes. Then to actually ask for your credit card number so they can steal your identity and rack up thousands in illegal charges. I just hope that karma plays a role in this and they finally get busted for preying on honest, hard working individuals.
So remember, a credit card company WILL NEVER CALL YOU UNSOLICITED AND ASK FOR YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER !!!!! If this was in fact a legitimate credit card company calling you about your account they would know your account / credit card number. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give out your personal information over the phone to an unsolicited caller.
I hope these lowlife bottom feeders get what's coming to them in the end.
This is some kind of tele-marketer..I just had a call come in from this number on my cell phone, didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number, left no message...I called back and it was a recording that said something about "special promotions"...I wish these people would quit calling my cell phone...
