Just receive a call from that number also, I don't answer when I don't know the number.
If it is legitimate they will leave a message for you to call back .....if you want to.
Well, aren't we all in for a little luck! I began doing some research on this number...according to my research, Global Crossing Local Services, Inc. is the carrier. I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (877-382-4357). The FTC wanted to know if my number was registered with the National Do Not Call Registry (888-382-1222 or www.donotcall.gov). The FTC employee also suggested I send the company a "Cease Communications" letter, telling them not to contact me at any of my phone numbers, and to send the letter in certified mail, return receipt requested. He suggested I do an online search for their contact info. I did (http://www.dleg.state.mi.us/bcs_corp/sr_corp.asp). Fortunately for all of us, I am only-too-happy to share it with all of the other people their calls have been harassing! Feel free to send your letters to ALL of their directors listed on their public filings:

Perhaps if we all take the time to interrupt their day and let them know how much we do not appreciate their interruptions into OUR lives, they'll get the idea. :)
Oh--and here is a link to all of their listed locations and phone numbers: http://www.globalcrossing.com/company/company_locations.aspx#us
This number has called my cell phone often, I use that phone for emergency only. I am on the "don't call" list. Where is the enforcement to get RID on this SCAM call?
