I too have recieved a call from this so call company. I didn't think it was legit either. No real company or lawyer calls your house at 8:00pm on a sunday, I mean really. I have been suckered by answering the phone, but never again and then a recording, are you serious.
Stanley C. Kottemann, Jr. and Associates, APLC is a collection agency. This is what I call "bottom-of-the-barrel" attorneys. They are so bad at law that the only people they can intimidate with their inferior legal knowledge is unsuspecting average people that usually don't know their legal rights.
Another reason for my distaste of this attorney in particular is that they are unprofessional. They call you with a recorded message. They are so unprofessional that they don't even have enough courtesy to talk to you personally.
a recorded message calls you and ask you to return their call. They ask for my husband, who has a very common name and shares it with his father and son. They are definetly not a company i want to deal with if they cant make a phone call with a single person.
I was called late at night from this phone number (504)456-1491. The person on the other end (Cunningham is what he called himself) was very rude and untactful! I do not owe the $40 he claims I owed. He said he would ruin my credit if I did not pay! I tried to explain to him why I did not owe the money (workmen's comp owes the money) but he wouldn't listen! All he would say is have your lawyer call me. When in fact my lawyer says he has to call him and that they are not suppose to be bothering me anyway! I have been called by other people regarding this $40 over the past year and none of them where offensive and rude to me! Matter of fact the others were understanding about the problem I am having with workmen's comp not paying medical bills in a timely manner! Also the other people who have called me took my lawyers information and called him like I told them because that is what I was instructed by MY LAWYER to do!
Mr. Cunningham as he calls himself has called me threatening me and I have no idea of what he is talking about. I do not have any account with them like he is describing and he is even calling me at work!! Is this legit?
