Stamtis Reves....whoever that is. Don't want these annoying calls so have turned off the answering machine as it seems whatever kind of answer these pests get, they keep calling!!!
Dang......I tried to answer yesterday and no one was there........I would love to get to people like this........I think if they call me, I am going to play along and when they ask me what my computer says, I'm going to tell them it says to hit "any key" and ask them "where do I find the any key"........hahahaha......that should get them.
ALWAYS CALLS REPRESENTS THEMSELVES AS MICROSOFT TECHNICAL SERVICE WANTS ACCESS TO MY COMPUTER. I CALLED THEIR BLUFF AND SAID I WAS REPORTING THEM AS A SCAM THEY HUNG UP
The name that showed on my phone was Reves Stamtis...when I answered he stated his name was Greg and my computer has a virus. He wanted me to go on my computer and work with him to clear my computer of the virus.
I have an unlisted/unpublished number. He wouldn't answer my questions as to how he got my number . He became very anxious when I told him no. I hung up the phone.
These people want remote access to your computer. They tell you they work for, or on behalf of, Microsoft and that your computer is sending out a zillion error messages, so they are here to help fix your computer. I went along with it to see how far they go.There is a part of your computer that does show it sent out error messages, but my son who is a computer engineer says it is normal. They eventually give you a link that will give them remote access. This is horrible.
Caller ID says "MASSACHUSETTS" Caller had a very heavy East Indian heavy accent. "I am calling about your computer, you have a Microsoft Windows problem, okay". I let him talk and then told him this sounded like a scam. He hung up on me. If you call the number back it says it is "not in service".
