Stamtis Reves....whoever that is. Don't want these annoying calls so have turned off the answering machine as it seems whatever kind of answer these pests get, they keep calling!!!
Caller said he was calling about my computer. I laughed and told him to go F himself. He called back about 5 times in a row and on the 6th call I answered it and asked him is this Andre (the name he used) and he said yes. I blew an air horn I got at Gander Mountain into the phone and laughed. He then called back and left a very irate message on my voice mail. It was really funny!
I bought an air horn at a local sporting goods store. When the scammers call to fix my computer I talk real soft for a second hoping they will increase the volume. I can hear other voices in the boiler room and know its loud. As soon as they turn it up I let a blast go. Last night he was so mad he called back and I told him to go F himself then blasted again. After that he left a long message on my home phone. Heavy foreign accent when they are mad. They forget how to speak English. The message is hysterical. No more calls!
Called my mother, when he said she didn't have a Microsoft computer, the guy said yes, he knew that she had a Mac and it was 2 years old. When he asked if she could get to it, she told him no and he got very hostile, telling her that if she didn't, she was in danger of getting a virus. She said it sounded very much like a threat. Somebody needs to start doing something about these scammers who prey on people, especially the elderly, Fortunately, my mother isn't very gullible.
Same old same old computer bribery scam being run out of some 3rd world country.....most likely India or Pakistan They are attempting to get you to unknowingly download malware onto your computer under the guise that your computer is malfunctioning & infected. They direct you to their bogus website where they con dumb people into downloading a supposed "repair" or give them free access to their PC. This "repair" is in reality malware that either locks up or infects your previously clean computer. They then bribe you by forcing you to pay them $$ to unlock or remove the malware if you want your machine to work again. What was it that PT Barnum once said??
Reves Stamtis at 1-508-257-4621 has called my home number several times after I have told him to stop. He mention he's calling from technical support. I have never requested or needed service from him. I find this to be very uncomfortable. I don't know how he has reached my number it is a private number.
