Company claiming to be a bill collector for a medical bill that is owed in another state. One big problem the person they were looking for, I don't know them. They may want to verify the info they get with the debt that's due with the office who owns the bill before they call.
Mike sounds like a ringer for Hamilton Burke and Associates. If Mr. Wise is calling you chances are they can not sue you. Only the original debt collector can do that. Instead what this company does is buy outstanding debt and try to pressure you into payring (regardless if its your debt or not) If they are this agressive the debt maybe ready to fall off your credit report and therefore rendered uncollectable.
Times are hard so the pressure is on to collect on debts before people file for bankruptcy or they are rendered uncollectable.
09/11 - Private party received a call from Andrea of Hamilton, Burke & Associates from 508-273-8981.. Gave case number and said to have the person (someone I know) call back at 888-638-8704.

This company has already been reported several times to the fdcpa, this is one of several small businesses that a desperate atty will start up when their practice is failing. They buy bad debt for pennies on the dollar and scramble to collect what they can. The kids that they hire are usually high school drop outs or pregnant girls working under the table to compensate for what welfare or WIC doesn't provide. No matter how many times you tell them you don't know or are not related to whom they are looking, they keep calling! This is all just my opinion and take on these guys.
