I just got a call from this number telling me it's "Adam Jones", the "Head Attorney" in a lawsuit filed against my social security number. They're "Sebastian's Law Firm". Yeah.
Of course, when I asked, please spell that name, give me an address, tell me exactly where you are, I was told I'm a "dumb lady" demanding that information, and - THEY hung up on ME.
I received a voicemail from this same number at work a few minutes ago. It was a man with a heavy Indian accent that called himself Mike and said he was from Baker & McKenzie. He stated that he was filing a criminal lawsuit against me, and that I needed to contact him immediately or else the police would come and find me and my employer would be legally forced to fire me. I'm not calling him back because this is clearly a scam. I did apply for a small unsecured loan online a few weeks ago, but thought better of it and never received any cash. I'm guessing this is probably how they got my number.
I received the same phone call as the above mentioned from this indian fellow today and yesterday he used a different phone number saying the same things.
So I came home from work and have a voice mail from "John Williams" and he said that if I do not call him or my lawyer calls him there is nothing he can do for me. I also this past weekend applied for a payday loan that i did not take, His phone number was 508 463 0716.
I received a threatening call saying i must respond "now". This is a scam do not reply or call them back these people are very smart and manipulative! If there was a legitimate lawsuit you must be contacted in writing by law.
