hi - what is the phone # for the Official / US Gov do not call list? im getting a TON of marketing calls - afraid to use the #s on the web as im not sure they are credable
Caller ID: Marlborough Ma - went to answering machine but said nothing - new number for me, but according to others same old scam about electric bill Eversource.
I spoke to a female. She said, "I am calling about your electricity bill". Sorry but I do not have an electricity bill. Then she said, "You sound mad. Are you made at me." I hung up on her. SCAM!
Received call from this number 508-683-0399. A woman said they were calling from Sarion (<Sp?) Energy, a supplier to Eversource. They said they wanted to speak with me about a discount we were due on our electric bill in MA, and if I didn't take this discount our bill would be going up significantly. They needed me to get a copy of my energy bill and would wait. I told them I'm at work and don't have my electric bill and they would have to call my home number. They wanted me to give them this number. I would not give it to them. I said you should have the home number if you service our Eversource account. They said that they are just a supplier to Eversource and that Eversource gets money through the distribution of electricity that they supply. So I told them if we have a problem with a charge on our bill wouldn't there be a number on the Eversource bill to call? I told her if there is an increase in our bill I would call the number supplied by Eversource. She ended the call but wishing me a pleasant day.
