Recvd voice message from a CLS processing firm stating that they will summons me within 3 days, if I do not call them back. Provide a case number and call back number. Threatened to deliver to my home or job. Just give me the summons so we can take it to court already.
THESE PPL HAVE BEEN CALLING ME FOR PAST WEEK AND I DECIDED TO GOOGLE THE NUMBER I CANT BELIEVE THIS, I JUST GOT A CALL 5 MINS AGO AND THE GUY INDICATED IF I KNEW THE PERSON AND SAID MY NAME AND COULD PAPERS BE SERVED, AM LIKE THIS CALL SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM WHY WOULD I GET A CALL FROM ANOTHER STATE.
Apparently, the people who operate this scam, and it is indeed such, are identified as an element run by the Russian Mob in New York. Even (John Gotti wouldn't soil his hands with this sort of low-level crap). Telephone scams are pretty close to being the bottom of the barrel for law enforcement world-wide. If you employ a simple set of rules for yourself, you will get by. Use
Caller ID always. If there is no name or it says Private Caller or Unknown, etc. If you don't know who it is, don't pick up. Or pick up, then disconnect immediately. As usual, the government got it wrong, so don't ever rely on the government to do anything about it. To silence the ever growing public outcry to curb phone-related financial crimes, the government funded the 'Do Not Call Registry'. Which is a total sham. It was a self-serving set up so the government could report back that they'd done something about it. We did the people's bidding, now shut up. Telecommunications Industry Lobbyists notwithstanding. It's more than likely the complaints received by the DNCR are sitting in limbo on a server in a dusty basement somewhere in Washington, or should I say outsourced to God knows where, the Philippines possibly. Not one single individual criminal or organization has ever been prosecuted due to tip offs and complaints to the DNCR. Given the time its been up and running and the sheer volume of complaints, that is incredible. Absolutely incredible. If the government had any sense they would have outlawed ROBO-DIALING. But they didn't, because they use the same system to haul in cash themselves. Sucks doesn't it?
I have been getting calls from this number for months. They are calling me by my maiden name and asking if someone will be available for service. They don't know my address, just my County. I called the court house and they have no records with my name. I called the secondary phone number and was told the case was regarding a bill that I paid off 3yrs ago.
Just like several others. This person called me and said I was going to be taken to Civil court and gave me a phone number and file number. First off, they asked for me by my previous married name, and I said she does not live here. The lady further told me that okay, well Diane will get repraminded for lying to the courts. I then said, I am her but that is not my name any longer, and I did not give them my married name at present. Anyways she said when I could call this number, and I said by today, and she said she can only hold off the civil court proceedings until today. After reading the posts on here, I wonder that too. If it was a legal matter, the paperwork would be delivered in person or by mail, and no one can prevent civil court proceedings. This is terrible that people do s**t like this.
Beware, this is a scam.
