Call came on my cell phone with the caller ID identifying it as supposedly being from Lometa, TX. I didn't answer but immediately came here to research the number and figured it was just that. This was the first call from them - no voice mail left, but I'll see where this goes. I appreciate the information from everyone having to deal with these leaches, piranhas, and lowlifes.
Got a call from this number was not home so I called it back, the man said they had something filed in their office, what he did not know was I was reading the post here as we talked and also read the ones on the BBB web site. He stated that I had TWO payday loans with mycashnow, but one was paid. Funny thing is why would mycashnow, tell them anything about my one paid off and he said he had one that was not paid and I owed over 800 dollars with interest and the money from the loans. So I first told him for one PAYDAY loans are illeagal in my state. He said they were made online, I then said well I am looking at many complainants on his company. He said he was not from mycashnow, I was yes I know you are from AVRS and he was hmmm yes, do you believe everything you see online, and I was yes when it is a report with the BBB and the FTC, so he said he marked it refusing to pay. So I called back like 5 times only to get hung up on So I waited like five minutes and as he was saying the companies name I said I contacted a lawyer and we are filing with the FTC and as the lawyer said if they are from New York State why do they have a phone number from Austin Texas? Yes do a search on the area code 512 come up for Austin TX
I've been recieving these calls too. When I asked the person behind the phone how he would like me to make the payments, he gave me instructions on how to money gram the amount he wanted. I told him you're smart but the same time stupid.

They are trying to catch these thugs
We have been bothered by this group for approx.2 years. They have called from NINE different groups of numbers based in several states. They keep changing them to avoid prosecution from states seeking them for violating state laws on trying to collect debts that are settled or are non existing. We filed a complaint with secret service and personally met with SS personnel in 2011. We were told by the agent that this group of phony companies have paid thousands of dollars in court actions against them but they continue because frightened consumers are scared into paying them... And they make a fortune on doing so!!! Our attorney also contacted them and told them to stop with the harrasemt. To back track a bit... We did have a small payday loan for $300 and it was fully repaid. Shortly after the final payment the calls started... First with messages about a returned check... Then calls threatening papers were going to be served.. Then warrants being served to my job and finally calls trying to find my location. They will not send any paperwork to prove this debt because there is no debt. For me,by law... I am NOT obligated to return any calls... I keep track of calls and numbers. Do not call them back because they keep your number as active. Trust me... They can not and will not seek any legal action because it is not legitimate. They are bullies skirting the law. Just hit delete and rest easy... Speaking from experience.
