Called at 3:53 pm. Caller id said "Des Moines, Ia." I said "Hello." Heavy accented guy said "Hello Mr. Don." My response "Who are you?" His response "Mr. Don, I'm calling from windows." That was when I decided I didn't want to play any longer. Click, blocked
I usually tell the window guys that I don't need new windows. Or I ask if they wash windows.
It came in just after I talked with Enterprise rental car in Des Moines. The man said to check my momputer also and then he got nasty with me and I hung up.
Thinking that it wss one of wife's friend, I answered but got no response so I hanged up the phone. Checked phone number snd found all these comments regarding computer scam. Another number to block.
Was at my 94 year old Mother's house and I answered her phone. Guy who barely speaks English says Windows needs cleaning and I said, they do, we can barely see out of them due to all the film left from the storm last week. I got an ummm and he hung up. There needs to be a SCAMMER listed under Call Type, these are not Telemarketers and they aren't the other categories either!
Used to be caller said there was a problem "with (my) Microsoft computer"; now it's a far away sounding Asian male telling me the problem is "with (my) Windows computer". I simply hold down any number button on the phone so they will hear a high pitched noise. Solves the problem for many months. If your mindset is good at the time, blow a whistle into the phone. Have fun!
