Asked “Is this XXXX?” Knew my first name HOW? (I never answer that question until I know who’s calling.)
Had heavy Asian accent.
Was calling from an extremely noisy room with lots of people talking & lots of static on the line.
Said she was “Calling from U.S. Medical Center" (not THE US…..—dead giveaway!)
Being an RN all over the globe for 40 years, I said "I don't think there is such a place" & hung up.
There is no doubt these people are breaking US & NY laws and probably gathering personal information to sell to hackers or other criminals.

Called at 8 am and I was so angry that I cut them off and chastised them for waking me up. Called back and number is no longer in service. Guy said his name was Steve, but there's no way that was true. Same as callers above, Indian or Middle Eastern accent coming from a loud call center where others in the background sounded like him.
