Both my husband & I received texts within seconds of each other stating: "Compass Bank-Important Notification Please call 516-302-1002 Your Attention Is Requested".
I called B of A; it is a scam trying to get information from you. If you press the "1" to reactivate your account, evidently it allows the sender of the text to get info from you. Since I have no business with B of A I knew right away it was a scam. Beware…..
Both my spouse and I got this text:
"(USBank-ImportantNotification) Please Call: 516-302-1002 Your Attention Is Requested."
Not using her better judgement (it could have been a $20 foreign call), she called, and an automated voice asked for her 9-digit social security number. She hung up. Unfortunately, because she called, now we are on the list of active suckers.
Girlfriend fell for this hoax like an numb nuts and inputed her social security number and I just found out... What should we do now? Because I've never been in this type of situation.....
