Both my husband & I received texts within seconds of each other stating: "Compass Bank-Important Notification Please call 516-302-1002 Your Attention Is Requested".
Got a text message today from this number...I DO use Wells Fargo but it is a robo-voice and a SCAM! DO NOT GIVE OUT INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE. Wells Fargo was alerted!
SCAM!!!
I called B of A . The agent said that there is no problem with my credit card account.
Although the agent did try to up sell me to a different B of A credit card with better/different rewards.
I got a text from Bank of America to call this number my attention is requested. Before I call any number that I do not know I look it up on reverse phone lookup, and this sight is what I found. I think it is a hoax.
I called my bank immediately after this text - , gave the information to them so they could report scam on their website. Do not even call the phone number. They ask you for your social security number right off the bat.
and mine claimed to be from Wells Fargo. they're almost as dumb as they think we are.
the drop box for "Call type" below does not include a choice "attempted fraud". too bad.
