Both my husband & I received texts within seconds of each other stating: "Compass Bank-Important Notification Please call 516-302-1002 Your Attention Is Requested".
Both my daughter and I received a text from a number (530) 902-55- hers with a message from BofA and mine with a message from Wells Fargo. Both said to call 516-302-1002. We called Bank of America (the real number) to report this to them and confirm her account was okay. The text is a scam. Do not call the number on the text!!!! Bank of America or any reputable bank will not contact you this way.
Calling any number like this will ONLY subject you to more calls from other scrupulous people looking for ways to manipulate you into revealing your private account information or identification (like SSN).
