I received the same call with the same message. My concern is that some elderly folks may not recognize this as a scam. And I'm pretty sure that's who they are betting on. It's hard to determine what is legal and not legal these days since so few of these "companies" get shut down or prosecuted. It's become one of our tolerable sins.
Same message, but I was out of town (oh darn). We don't use our land line anymore, so these messages go to voicemail. We have had this call before. I feel bad for the elderly and others who don't understand that these are fake calls.
I got a message that was a recording that said it was from Oyster Bay, NY on April 17, 2017. I tried to call this number back and it wouldn't go through. After reading about these other incidents, I'm really happy their scam couldn't be completed! Thank you, everyone for saving me and my money!
