This guy's a scam. Telling us we have viruses on our computer then he tells us he wants our password or IP address. He continuously calls us & We just hang up. There are 2 different people on this scam. The guy calls, he talks for a bit then he hands over the phone to the other guy both have an Indian Accent.
Call the FTC 887-382-4357 and report them. The local police stated they have been calling many people in the area. Yet since they call using a number from NJ and we are not in NJ, this becomes and interstate and Federal Issue.
Report them!
Oh and "IF" you try to call either number back, the telephone company's recording states that the number is disconnected and no longer in service.
The scam artists are using an auto dialer that is giving out mis-information. The Police stated that people are being asked not only for the IP Address and Passwords, but also they want to verify your identity with your Birthdate, Social Security Number. Then they ask for a Credit Card number to pay for them to "FIX" your computer remotely.
