i have received calls from this number 2 times in the past few days. Did not answer as number is not familiar to me. Thanks to all of you who have posted your results.
This guy called and said he was from Windows PC and located in Delaware. When I asked what his street address was because i would rather bring my computer to him he said he could not give it out. I would love to catch this MOT#$##$%^ERS!
Clearly this is some kind of scam,
- guy with foreign accent stating my computer was generating error messages on the windows server
- keeps insisting and demanding that you get on your computer and follow some steps to verify your "CLS ID".
- i asked for a supervisor/rep who could speak Spanish (what major corporation in the US doesn't have a Spanish speaking agent now a days) and he clearly got upset as i began speaking spanish and acting as if i didn't understand. Hahaha.!!
516-986-6288 the caller indicated that he was from Windows PC Support and that my computer was not responding to ...something, blah blah blah.
So I called him on it and told him that there is no way my computer 'not responding' is going to give him this or any phone number.
He said 'ma'am if you could just listen to me for 2 minutes...'
I just told him that he was fill of crap and better not call this phone number again.
