got the same message. I decided to try calling back from a different number in my house. the young lady who answered got very frustrated when I told her I believe it is a scam and I've researched on Google-she then asked if I believe everything I read on Google-made me laugh. She then asked if the number I was calling from was the one that received the message to which I answered "you tell me". She then asked if I would like to speak with a supervisor. Of course I would...but I ended up handing up as I waited for about a minute. Make no mistake this is a scam
If you get a call from these people, don't worry about it. More than likely it is a collection agency that buys very old debt that is no longer collectable by law. If you ever speak to a live person, never admit a debt is yours. The original owner of the debt has four years to collect but rarely will a company hold the debt that long. They will do a "charge off" and sell your debt in a package with hundreds or thousands of other debts to an agency. If the debt is a very large amount, you would more than likely receive a letter from their legal dept. or an attorney. This would happen soon after you default. Remember, if you speak to a live person and you do have old debt, deny deny till you die :)
