Well, this morning I received my 8th call from Jasmine Long from Expedited Processing Services. Yep, 8 of them since March 30. She is quite the persistent pain in the butt. I am getting both annoyed and amused by this scam. Mostly annoyed. I would block the number, but Im curious how many times she is going to call from this number before she switches to another one.
Answered call from 518-375-2701 this is another number for EPS (stated they are a processing server company) and that there is a legal case against my husband and gave me a case number. Told me I could get the information as I am his wife. I asked what information they would be asking for and Jessica Mason stated that since it is a personal matter where he is being sued they will ask for personal information to confirm he is who he said he is. I told her it sounds like a scam and hung up on her. They also use the following numbers 518-375-2202 and are calling out of Albany, NY. My attitude is if there was legal action against my husband the paperwork would have been sent without a phone call.
I've received so many of these calls that I've lost count. No one ever says a name or the business entity, even though it's most likely Michael Stevens for the male, but I don't know who the female. I finally unplugged my phone. It's ridiculous that nothing can be done about this. I have contacted the Federal Trade Commission.
