Got a call yesterday (on our cell phone which we use only in emergencies and noone should have the number!) mentioned credit card company, hung up immediately as they were using up our minutes! Ridiculous. Can't believe they asked for someones credit card number, scary!
I just recieved a call from this number. It started out as automated, and sounded like a credit card company. I pressed 1 to talk to an agent. She asked if I wanted to lower my rates to 6.9% - I said I wouldn't answer any questions until she gave me information on her company. She asked if I had a specific sum on a specific card and her info was correct. I asked which company she was with and she hung up. I'm worried that she knew my card and amount.
Yes what the hell is up with these rude [***] people? I work 3rd shift and they call me all the time and if you say anything off topic they immediately hang up on you! Like I asked "what company is this?" and another time I said "I don't have a credit card" and they hung up on me! It makes me so mad! I wanna turn them in for phone harassment!
The voice on this call I got was the perfect representation of the female voice on the phone system at Chase Card Services of Chase Bank.
EVERYONE CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY EVERY TIME YOU GET A CALL like this and report it to the BIG BANKERS who have the horsepower AND SELF INTEREST to put a stop to it.
Chase was VERY interested in every aspect of my report about the call. They also note my report on my record, which may make a difference at renewal time on the card to get you a better interest rate or more favorable rating. Sure can't hurt. I was amazed they were so interested....
