I got a call from this number 8-19-2013 the man had a heavy accent and told me that he was an IRS agent and that it was a personal matter that I owed the Irs $10,000 and I needed to send him $5000 at once. Also he told me that if I had any money in the bank to take it out because the IRS would take it. Of course I knew he was a crazy bafoon if he thought I would fall for something like this. I am writing this to make sure someone else that reads this will know he is a bafoon too. The number I was called from was 530-235-6505.
So BEWARE do not fall for this.

Received a call from this number and he stated he was a representative from the IRS and that we needed to contact Agent PEterson with the IRS and it was about our Tax return.  My husband told him to send a letter and then he would answer whatever questions they might have and the guy told him not to raise his voice and my husband told him this conversation was over that the IRS does not call and get information over the phone. Again like the others he was not English speaking.  The number showed OUT OF AREA but on the internet it showed California.  NO CALL LIST IS A JOKE

A heavy-accented man calling himself John Miller left two messages today and finally got me on the phone while I was listening to his messages.  He claimed to be from the IRS.  His messages suggested I get an attorney, that I should "not try to disregard this message," and that this was about "an illegal allegation" against us.  He actually had the wrong first name and couldn't really pronounce my simple last name.  I'm pretty sure the IRS sends letters rather than making calls anyway.  I tried to call the IRS, but there was no easy way to let them know that someone was making these calls in their name.

Heavy Indian accent named Chris  told my wife that she is being investigated by IRS for tax fraud and unless she pays $7,000 all bank accounts will be frozen. She was terrified, and he added that today is the last day to avoid jail time by paying him.
