Who called from 5303318829

This is the third call that i have gotten in a week.  The first call was from 469-645-2864 and that was on July 15th 2010 at 1:20pm they told me that I was going to go to Jail if i didn't give them an ex friends number.  I told them that I haven't spoken to her in about 2 months and if they could take me off of her list as my sister.  They are trying to get a hold of my ex friend April and I guess she has called me the most from her number.  So the guy said he would take me off of his list and he hung up.  About 3 hours later i got a call from 978-283-5714 from another guy looking for April I told him the exact same thing and then he told me I had to go to Cali because I was going to go to Jail and he was sending a car to my house in Pensacola Florida.  I DON'T EVEN LIVE IN FLORIDA.  I live in New York.  He hung up on me and I still havent gotten a warrent for arrest.  Now a little over 1 hour ago I got a phone call from 530-331-8829 and the same thing they were looking for April.  They said if i didn't give them her number that they were going to send someone to my house and drag me out and send me to jail in California.  I was fighting with the guy for 8 minutes and 33 seconds.

i was on the phone with the 409 number for 5 minutes and 8 seconds.  I was on the phone with the 978 number for 1 minute and 3 seconds.

This is really Scaring me because I am not even 21 years old yet and I am getting threatened for going to Jail.  These people will not tell me their names but I do have family that work in the court system and they can trace all of these calls.  the 409 number was from Dallas, TX The 978 number was from MA and the 530 number was from Oklahoma.  So I don't know if they are just taking random numbers and blocking out their old numbers or something but it has got to stop.  Oh and the first number said that their circuts were busy and the second number was no longer in service so it is kinda fishy to me.

TOTAL SCAM!!!!!! DONT PAY THEM [***].

I received a voicemail at my work from the following number 530-331-8829 on 07/28/2010.  He stated his name was Michael Harris, looking for a return phone call from me or my attorney.  Also stated that if I did not return a phone call he would place a gridlock on me.  This person leaving a voicemail at my place of employment did not speak fluent English (Nigerian/Indian accent).  When I returned the call today 07/29/2010, They stated they were the "Anderson Law Firm" acting upon the United States Government, the person handling my case is Daniel Marshall. When I asked where they were located they stated California, when I asked for the address, all he said was CA.  The person I spoke with was not Daniel however stated I was being sued, and would not release any information about the case to me.  When I question his foreign decent and the possibility of being scammed he immediately disliked my attitude, and stated he refused to release any further information about my case, however advised me to leave work immediately to go home and wait for the sheriff to come and arrest me.  He then also stated he had my personal information, verified the last 4 digits of my SSN and my banking institute information.  He also stated that as of this afternoon I will no longer have a SSN and banking institute that I will have a lockout on me. I feel scared and pressured,
I have done my research before calling them back and know this is a SCAM. Please send an ALERT!

I like one of the above comments about a class action suit. Let's all band together and sue these [***] and get some money from them. My story is the same. The number from Yreka Ca called me and said that they needed my cooperation of silence while he said his legal proceedings. I am a bill collector and have been for the past 4 years, so I am very familar with FDCPA and GLBA. He called me at work (a call center for collections) lol!...and my manager gave me the call. I allowed him to say his script and when he finished he asked if I had any questions. HA! Of course I did...first what is the name of the website that i got the payday loan from...he said Insta Cash USA (a valid website or least from what I seen). Second, how much was my loan...$300. Third, what date I received this money deposited into my account...sometime last year. When I told them that if I had got a payday loan it would have been a binding contract when I filled out the application and received the funds into my account. So now since I have breached a contract by failure to repay I need to hire a lawyer and get a bank statement showing that the money was deposited and attempted to be withdrawn (NSFs) from my account last year. And in order for me to get that information and investigate this I need the month, date, and year that I entered into this payday loan. He couldn't give me the information and said there was 20 emails sent to me. When I asked him what email address what used to send the email he said he didn't know because it was sent by Insta Cash USA. I asked if the name showed up as them, he said yes. I asked if it shows up as spam because i don't check that i just delete it. He again said he didn't know and became aggravated with me because at this point I knew he was full of shxx and kept interrupting him to bombard him with even more valid questions. He got mad and said I need to shut my mouth so he can answer my questions. I again asked him what date I took out the payday loan and he got mad and said he would be at my job the next day with a supeona and tell my employer what I am being charged with: check fraud, theft by deception, and something else (very hard to understand because of the accent, not that I'm racist because we too outsource outside of the United States...cheap labor what can I say, at least my company didn't get the bailout from Obama), but I still couldn't understand the 3rd charge. So now my manager is prepared for action if any is necessary but after reading everybody's posts I feel more at ease because he would need to bring a sherriff with him so he doesn't get his axx kicked calling me like this and trying to give me these ridiculous idle threats. As a collector, I suggest to everyone to report this to all of the above companies, change your banking information, and also give the three credit reports a heads up of a possible identity theft that way if they do try to take any money from you oor start a loan in your name then you will be covered. Also to tell if they are real, they should have all of your personal information: SSN, bday, 1st and last name, routing and account number to your bank, and secondly they are only allowed to make contact one time a day, unless is certain states (EX: NYC, NY). A contact is defined as speaking to an authorized person: the persons(s) on the account, ok to talk to's-people authorized from the signers of the contract that it is ok to talk to and release information to them, take payments, etc, and spouses-only in spousal states. If I identify my name (only 1st name required for my own safety) and the company I represent and you identify who you are that is a contact. Also a left message with a person, such as my name and the company i represent. After that no more calls are allowed per FDCPA regulations and anything more is considered harrassment. If you tell them it is a wrong number then they have to remove it after proper verfication (my company says after 3 different days of being told it is a wrong number and it is documented) Just a few pointers if anyone wants to try it with these people, or other companies if you have any problems in the future.

Listen UP -This is what you need to do Follow  to play the game right, my husband calls these people, Blocks his number and pretends he is my attorney I have just retained.  With no names being mentioned or questions he proceeds to ask the woman (indian decent) for Daniel Marshal. He's not available of course, so now he proceeds to ask for details about my case.  They say they are a Collection Agency working for United Solutions, (if you read my previous post - it was Anderson Law).  Next they proceed to tell my acting attorney I owe 3500.00. My "attorney" asks about the court documents, they say they are in the court, and the sheriff is supposed to come and arrest me thursday night 07/29/2010. My attorney asks "How can a sheriff arrest my client if the documents are still in the court?" they said its pending approval. (STRIKE #2 Lie)  Next My attorney wants to send a representative to the court to get copies, Next ? to them - Which court? They say California, Which one in California? they hang up on him.  He calls back, gets the same girl, Which court? She says Santa Barbara CA.  Next he tells her he will be sending a representative to the court to get documents, who should he contact?  They hang up again.  He calls back, same woman says "Stop calling here its a private Line"  He proceeds to ask for the contact at the court, She says you can't go there- the court just got a major snow storm and is not open yet for business. (Strike #3 - Snow Storm in California in the middle of Summer) They hang up again!
He then calls again - same response - stop calling here its a private line, His response to her was, #01 if you were a collection agency threatening my client you wouldn't have a private line. #2 your telling me my clients records are at a courthouse with 2feet of snow,so I need snow shoes to get in the middle of Summer (by they way it never snows in Santa Barbara) # 3 you tell my client to go home and wait for the sheriff, If anyone was waiting for a sheriff it would be you after I turn your A@@ in for fraudulant Claims to the authorities! They hung up and didn't say another word Yet!
