so an officer David Jones has been harassing me saying that there are 3 criminal charges against me and if I do not call them or my lawyer does not call them that only god can help me with this matter. Then a few minutes later he called my best friend and left a message stating that she was a personal contact person and that to get a message to me in regards to the criminal charges. So I call Chico PD and they told me to ignore the calls that this was a scam and to call them back and tell them that I have reported them to the police. While doing that the man on the other line was trying to talk to me about my "charges" I told him that I do not care to listen to him that this was all a scam and to stop harassing me and my friends and family and that the police have been informed. Then he hung up on me. I am so tired of people getting our info and trying to use it against us. Now my friend is so mad that she said I can no longer use her as a reference cause she thinks I am in some kind of trouble. GRRRRRRR.
My daughter is now getting calls from 911 and her own Human Resource number of her employer. They are threatening that they are in the building and they are looking for her. This has been a complete nightmare for her. There guys a total creeps.
My daughter just got this same call today, David Jones saying he would send the police to her job also. I called my local police department they informed me this was a scam and they have gotten several reports about it today. Funny thing is my husband called and said he was her attorney starting asking him quesions and wanting thier info and he hung up the phone on him. He called him back asking the same questions and wanting to speak to someone in charge said the call was being recorded, he heard someone in the background telling Mr Jones to hang up the phone....Watch out for these people
I got a similar phone call this morning. How they were going to arrest me as well. I asked them for there badge number and what they gave me was a lame 4 digit number. It is all a joke. I have fellow officers who live in my neighborhood and told them I was going to one of there houses and they put me on hold and then when they realized I was talking with someone regarding what they were doing they hung up. Yes I really did go do a one of my fellow officers house. I was instructed not to answer any calls that I do not know and to register my number on the do not call list. www.donotcall.gov. It has worked in the past and it is a wonderful tool. I wish you all the best of luck.
This is definitely a scammer. They have been calling my husband all week. First time they called they said they were a debt collector trying to collect a debt my husband did online, payday advance that my husband never did do. But today they called and said that it was Officer Rick Williams and that my husband is in trouble and will be arrested if he does not get this matter resolved. It's so funny, my husband keeps trying to call him back but keeps getting voice mail. Since they want to call us and leave threatning messages, my husband is doing the same thing by calling them back threatning them. Now they won't return his call. And my husband keeps calling and calling and calling trying to fill up their voicemail inbox. ROTFLMFAO
My husband has been calling them back every 15 minutes trying to fill up their voicemail inbox since that's what they do to us every morning. They will eventually block my husband's number but they always call back from another which is fine cause it just gives my husband another number to harrass them. It's the same people every time they call.
