I got the same, this number is all over the internet, I told them my lawyer would contact them, I also reported the calls to my corporate security team for the calls at work. I hope nobody falls for this, it's almost laughable... until they start spitting all your personal info at them. i DID get a payday loan (I know real stupid), I believe the company may have sold all of my info to these jack wagons. I try not to interact, but when Im bored I think I'm going to break down... tell them I will pay, tell them of some tragic loss in my family.. something.. just to see what they say.. they are idiots... American lawyers??? Mike Anderson?? C'moooon... at least put some thought into this crap!
Ok maybe you all think I haven't anything else to do but...
Today - "Derrick Smith" - the paragon of Pakistan called from "Legal Affidavit Department" that a lawsuit has been filed against me and(!!!) my social security number. So I need to call him back right now at 646-499-4984.
Now - 2 days ago, I actually called their other number back, told them I'm not falling for their scam, and that I am (and have) reported them to interested media, cops, FBI, etc etc etc.
They said they'll see me in court. I said how will I recognized you? And they hung up.
OK today they call me - apparently thinking that a different number will sound different???
Geez, isn't there an easier way to make a living? I actually talked with a reporter from the WSJ and they are working on an angle to another story which entails fraud from Pakistan/India, and they will include a bit on this...hopefully soon!
I got the same phone call from 1-530-554-4566 and a michael fuller told me he was with americal law firm or better yet the federal law firm and i have committed online bank fraud and that i would go to jail and that they were goneing to call my job and get me fired. I also had applied for a online payday loan. I was foolish and sent them 789.00 believing what they said. I am so deeply hurt by the deception. That was my saving, being a single mom of two, i don't have that type of money to give away. I want these people caught and arrested.
