I got the same, this number is all over the internet, I told them my lawyer would contact them, I also reported the calls to my corporate security team for the calls at work. I hope nobody falls for this, it's almost laughable... until they start spitting all your personal info at them. i DID get a payday loan (I know real stupid), I believe the company may have sold all of my info to these jack wagons. I try not to interact, but when Im bored I think I'm going to break down... tell them I will pay, tell them of some tragic loss in my family.. something.. just to see what they say.. they are idiots... American lawyers??? Mike Anderson?? C'moooon... at least put some thought into this crap!
I got a call today. I knew it was a scam by all the noise in the background. When this Michael Fuller left in my voice mail that I better call him back today, I knew it was a scam. Your REAL creditors do not leave those kinds of messages when you owe money. Also another tip was the HEAVY INDIAN accent. When I returned their call, I got postal on them and this Michael Fuller hung up on me. SO PLEASE READ ALL OF THESE POST. They are very informative and can prevent you from falling prey to these scammers. If it was a real law firm you would have gotten a collection notice in the mail.
These people are a total joke. Today alone they've called me at least 4 times and left 3 messages. I finally got tired of it and picked up the phone on their last call. "Steve Matthews" tried to act nice but wouldn't give me any information, so he referred me to "Michael Fuller", who droned on and on about "check fraud", "theft by deception", stating that charges were being filed against me, asking if I had ever been arrested, blah blah blah....but then the idiot has the NERVE to start mentioning the FDCPA! I finally lit into him and told him that payday loans are a CIVIL matter, which meant I couldn't be arrested even if I HAD taken a loan and not paid it back! I also educated him on the FDCPA, and explained how he can not threaten me with arrest, cops coming for me, etc...he then pretended to question me about the FDCPA and hung up on me. I can't wait to see if these [***] try to call me back. I hadn't even been able to get started on these idiots last time....
A guy named with a thick indian accent has been harrasing me and my boyfriend for over a month now, I am pretty freaked out that he has my personal info. Im reporting them to the FCC and BBB.. Not sure what else I can do. He gets obscene and has told me to shut up and has also made racial comments to me and said hes looking for an american girl.. I have lost some sleep over this jerk. Any other suggestions how to stop these terrorists? Im very uneasy that he has my SSN.....
