Man with a thick accent called asking for someone who doesnt work at my office.as soon as I say we have no one by that name here ,the man hangs up and calls back 3 more times. Immeadiatly after the 4th call he calls back on a screened number asking for the same person. Annoying as hell.
They said it was Microsoft and to press in xnxx.com into my windows browser...and it was a porn site...I asked him what the heck this was and who the hell this is and he started calling me a MF..the weird thing is he had or address and last name etc........really concerned over this crap.....
Same thing just happened to us, but he hung up when we started getting suspicious about his intent. Did not do anything re: computer. Please go get some anti-virus/anti-malware, since they may have just hacked you when you went to that site.
Concerned Victim is right. You may have exposed your PC to malware just by visiting that website -- this is called a "drive by" infection.
Get off the internet because malware can call home and bring down more malware. Do not login to any online account, malware can record your keystrokes and steal your login credentials. Disconnect from the net, power down the PC and park it. I strongly suggest you take your PC and system discs to a local IT shop, tell them what happen and have them fix it. There is some chance the criminals may have rooted the drive's Master Boot Record. Malware is silent and dangerous, you must attend to this, do not be complacent.
Person calls asking for a specific person name. That person wasn't here, so I asked for the name, number of person and reason for calling, so I could leave the absent person a message. The caller (sounded foreign) said they were calling about a Microsoft Windows issue. I asked for message details and they said for ME to give the absent person's phone number to THEM and they would call. I said NO, I will take a message for them, and they said NO, give me their number. I hung up at this point. VERY suspicious...so I googled the phone number. Found this site (as well as another) indicating this is a scammer. Thought so.
Their weasel dick crooks trying to steal your money and compromise your personal info. DO NOT LOG ONTO THAT SITE. They use phantom phone #s. They claim they are from Microsoft. Yea right. Microsoft would never call you. I wish the FCC would put a stop to this non sense. I have phone # blocking and just added their # to the list.
