Man with a thick accent called asking for someone who doesnt work at my office.as soon as I say we have no one by that name here ,the man hangs up and calls back 3 more times. Immeadiatly after the 4th call he calls back on a screened number asking for the same person. Annoying as hell.
I picked up the phone and no one was there so I hung up. I pulled this up to check and see what sort of scam they are running - it always amazes me how ridiculous some people are! Anyway, keep your heads up folks - no one will ever give anyone anything for free!
5:23 PM, 1/14/2013, rec'd call from man who sounded Indian; said he was from Microsoft. When I asked him why he was calling he got very agitated and asked if he was bothering me. I said Yes - what do you want? He said he was calling from Microsoft & that my computer had "several viruses"....at which point I cut him off, told him I knew this was a scam & not to call back. Now I see that was a good idea because if he had sent me to a porn site, the police would be my next call! I am so SICK & TIRED of these lousy calls all day and all night long...guess the Do Not Call List doesn't mean a whole lot.
Im in Halifax, NS. Got a call from this number tonight (guy with a Indian accent). Said i had a virus on my computer. I hung up the phone and he call right back. Told him to go F*** himself and hung up again.
These guys are scamers trying to get you money. Don't listen to them!!!
I just got off the phone with the exact same call, and he said his name was john smith... with a indian accent.. I tried calling back the number and it is "disconnected". This is not the first time I've dealt with this call. its the same thing everytime.
seriously..... people don't fall for this crap. if you had a problem with your computer you would have to pay money and beg a tech to call you, they would not give out free info over the phone. phfff
